Benfield Wines is a veteran-owned winery located in northwest Ohio. Its owners—Robert and Julia Benfield—began making wine as a hobby in their kitchen pantry. As word of mouth spread and their customer base expanded, the Benfields’ side business shifted into a new adventure as full-time small business owners.

Their new in downtown Swanton, Ohio, has brought new life into a beautiful and historic opera house. With deep ties to the Swanton community, they’ve played a large role in revitalizing the local downtown business sector, bringing in visiting customers from the Great Lakes and East Coast as well as offering domestic and international shipping.
